• DirectX 11 to land in CrossOver Many of today's games are using DirectX, and that presents a problem for Linux users who want to open that game in Linux. DirectX 11 support in CrossOver (and Wine).
• Wine and DirectX11 - posted in Custom Wine Builds: I wonder if anybody did realise, that you can get a DirectX11 enabled Wine version since 3 days. CrossOver 15 bclaims, that they have it, through I haven't tried myself, yet. Maybe someone could try building the engine.

Great news! Crossover 20 is out! It has a lot of improvements (Wine 5,0) and even promises Directx11 support! This is something Porting Kit cannot offer yet because Crossover uses DXVK 1.5.2 including with some aditional patches which Porting Kit does not have (yet). I am not sure which Directx11 games work, but you will find out yourself soon enough. So even if you only want to support the Wine project, I really recommend you Crossover 20 the rest is a massive bonus. They have a total new branding as well. Check out the change log below.

Note: This file contains a collection of DirectX libraries including 9.0c, 10 and DirectX 11. It will update the version of of DirectX that your system is running. You should first use this application to extract the files to a directory on your computer from which you will run the file DXSETUP.exe.

DirectX 11 for Windows is an update to Microsoft's graphics acceleration for Windows and providers updates to Pixel Shaders, Direct3D, DirectSound, DirectX Media and DirectSetup. This update also provides for a smoothing gaming experience for a number of titles and is required by many modern 3D games. It also introduces support for tessellation, improving multi-threading support and can take advantage of multi-core processors and better computing of shaders.

This version of DirectX 11 is not officially supported on older operation systems before Windows Vista, so Windows XP users aren't so lucky.
